Diamond Parking has introduced new steps for parking in the lot across eighth avenue:
We have a new machine in the lot, all the customers need to do is:
1. Hit any button to start.
2. Select two free hours
3. Enter their vehicle license plate number
4. Then put the receipt on the dash.
This procedure helps us and them know exactly which car and how long they can stay.
We are ordering signs to help customer understand what to do.
We have been writing warning tickets to help customers go to the machine.

Lora Martini is a local encaustic painter. She will discuss and demonstrate several encaustic paintings techniques and outline the materials needed to get started painting in this medium.
Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated beeswax to which colored pigments are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to a surface — usually prepared wood, though canvas and other materials are often used. The simplest encaustic mixture can be made from adding pigments to beeswax, but there are several other recipes that can be used — some containing other types of waxes, damar resin, linseed oil, or other ingredients. Pure, powdered pigments can be used, though some mixtures use oil paints or other forms of pigment. This painting medium is very versatile and physical kind of paint. It is unique in the way the paint interacts with the prior layers and in the way the color pigments is suspended allowing the light to reflect and creative a 3-d effect.
